* The Indian cricket team has refused to accept the Asia Cup title during the presentation ceremony that was delayed by more than an hour after they beat Pakistan by five wickets in the final in Dubai. They refused because the trophy was to be presented by Asian Cricket Council president Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the PCB and the Interior Minister of Pakistan.

"We have decided not to take the Asia Cup trophy from the ACC chairman - who happens to be one of the main leaders of Pakistan," BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia told ANI. "So we decided not to take it from him. But that does not mean that the gentleman will take away the trophy with him, along with the medals. So it is very unfortunate and we hope that the trophy and the medals will be returned to India as soon as possible.

"I have been informed by the Asian Cricket Council that the Indian cricket team will not be collecting their awards tonight," Simon Doull, the presenter for the host broadcaster, said at the ceremony. "So that does conclude the post-match presentation."



Pakistan 113-2 to scored 146 for all-out in 19.1 overs with top scorer by Sahibzada Farhan hammered a 57 off 38-balls including 5-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 150.

Fakhar Zaman cracked a 46 off 35-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours and Saim Ayub scored 14 off 11-balls contained 2-fours.

India best bowler by Kuldeep Yadav claimed a 4-wickets for 30-runs in 4-overs, Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy each took 2-wickets.

India 20-3 to chased 150-5 in 19.4 overs with top scorer by Tilak Varma cracked a unbeaten 69 off 53-balls, Shivam Dube hammered a 33 off 22-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 150 and Sanju Samson struck 24 off 21-balls included two-fours & a six.

Pakistan best bowler by Faheem Ashraf picked up 3-wickets for 29-runs in 4-overs, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abrar Ahmed both took one-wickets.

Tilak Varma named Player of the match for his match-winning remarkable innings of unbeaten 69 off facing 53-balls including 4-sixes & 3-fours.

Abhishek Sharma earned player of the tournament for contributing 314 runs with average of 44.85.
