Sri Lanka scored 180-9 in the allotted 46 overs with top scorer by Asanka Gurusinha struck 90 off 112-balls - who fell ten-run short of his century - 5-fours & 3-sixes.

Chandika Hathurusinghe cracked a 36 off 82-balls including three boundaries and Champaka Ramanayake hit 15 off 19-balls contained 2-fours.

Pakistan best bowler by Wasim Akram claimed a 4-wickets, Aaqib Javed, Waqar Younis both took 2-wickets and one for Saleem Malik.

Pakistan chase down the target of 181 for 2 in 40.2 overs with top scorer by Ramiz Raja cracked a 73 off 104-balls including 8-fours.

Saleem Anwar struck 55 off 92-balls including 5-fours, Inzamam-ul-Haq hit a unbeaten 27 off 24-balls included 3-fours and Asif Mujtaba hit a unbeaten 15 off 26-balls contained a boundary.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Aravinda de Silva took 2-wickets for 24-runs in 5-overs.

Wasim Akram named Player of the match for his brilliant bowling performance to claimed a 4-wickets for 24-runs in 10-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 2.40.

WORLD CUP holder Pakistan romped into the final of the triangular Wills Trophy International Cricket Tournament on Tuesday by demolishing Sri Lanka by eight wickets.

Pakistan, which put Sri Lanka into bat after winning the toss, had too much firepower for the islanders and now faces the winner of the Sri Lanka-Zimbabwe match on Thursday's final. 

Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 49 runs in Monday's opening fixture.

New skipper Wasim Akram spearheaded Pakistan's bowling attack which reduced Sri Lanka to 9-180 in the 46 overs possible.

Only left-hander Asanka Gurusinghe, who slammed a superb 90, stood between complete ruin for Sri Lanka.

Left-arm paceman Wasim, who snapped up 4-24 off his 10 overs, gave Pakistan a splendid start by dis- missing opener Roshan Mahanama with only two runs on board. The Sri. Lankans never really recovered.
