Inzamam-ul-Haq's solid 90, Waqar Younis' all-round display and Aaqib Javed's economical bowling helped to Pakistan comprehensive 49-run victory over Zimbabwe in the opening match of a Will Trophy Triangular series.

Pakistan scored 262-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Inzamam-ul-Haq cracked a 90 off 133-balls - who fell ten-run short of his century.

Rashid Latif cracked a 39 off 41-balls including 4-fours, Wasim Akram hammered a 38 off 30-balls included four-fours & a six with strike rate of 126.66.

Waqar Younis hammered a 26 off 15-balls including 3-sixes & a four with strike rate of 173.33 and Saeed Anwar scored 26 off 41-balls contained 3-fours.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Ali Shah picked up 3-wickets for 33-runs in 10-overs including two maidens with economy rate of 3.30, David Brain captured three-wickets and Eddo Brandes took 2-wickets.

Zimbabwe scored 213-6 in the allotted 50 overs with top scorer by Grant Flower cracked a 57 off 109-balls including 4-fours & a six.

Andy Flower struck 49 off 71-balls - who fell one-run short of his half-century - including 5-fours and Dave Houghton blasted a 36 off 32-balls contained 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 112.50.

Pakistan best bowler by Waqar Younis captured 2-wickets for 26-runs in 10-overs including three maidens with economy rate of 2.60, Saleem Malik and Mushtaq Ahmed both took one-wickets.
