India chase down the target of 99 for 4 in 23.4 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Azharuddin cracked a 45 off 51-balls, Navjot Sidhu scored 24 off 46-balls without a boundary and Manoj Prabhakar hit 10 off 17-balls included a four.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Promodya Wickramasinghe captured 2-wickets for 13-runs in 5-overs with economy rate of 2.60 and Chaminda Vaas took 2-wickets for 16-runs in 5-overs with economy-rate of 3.20.

Mohammad Azharuddin named Player of the match for his match-winning captain innings of 45 off facing 51-balls including one-six & a four.

Arjuna Ranatunga earned player of the series for contributing 195 runs with average of 65 in four innings.
