India best bowler by Rajesh Chauhan picked up 3-wickets for 43-runs in 10-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 4.30, Javagal Srinath, Kapil Dev and Salil Ankola each took 2-wickets.

India chase down the target of 143 for 3 in 23.2 overs with top scorer by Sachin Tendulkar hammered a 82 off 49-balls, Ajay Jadeja hit 18 off 25-balls including 3-fours and Vinod Kambli struck 21 off 30-balls contained 3-fours.

New Zealand best bowler by Chris Harris, Matthew Hart and Chris Pringle each took one-wickets.

Sachin Tendulkar named Player of the match for his match-winning whirlwind batting performance to smashed a 82 off 49-balls including 15-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 167.34.
