Bad weather forced the third and final one-day international between Sri Lanka and India to be abandoned after a stunning all-round display by Robin Singh's maiden century with three-wickets.

  • Robin Singh's 100 was his highest score for India in one-day international and the 11th highest-score by an Indian batsman against Sri Lanka in ODIs.
  • Robin Singh became the 19th Indian batsman to score a hundred in ODIs.

In-Depth Match Highlights:

Bad weather forced the third and final one-day international between Sri Lanka and India to be be abandoned amid a storm of protest in Colombo. 

The Sri Lankans, chasing India's 291 for nine, appeared to be running away with game when Sanath Jayasuriya's powerful 66 off 32-balls took them to 80 for loss by only the eighth over.

A heavy downpour at that stage cut short play by an hour and 15 minutes, giving Sri Lanka revised target of 195 off 25 overs. India hoping to end the tour with a consolation win after losing the first two one-day internationals, 

India claiming six wickets in the space of 47 runs after resumption but India were unhappy when the local umpire Samarasinghe and Francis called off play for bad light when Sri Lanka 132 for 6, needed another 64 from six overs. The match India's last on the current tour, will be replayed from the start tomorrow.

India scored 291-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Robin Singh cracked a career-best 100 off 102-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred - including 11-fours & a six.

Rahul Dravid struck 78 off 79-balls including 9-fours, Mohammad Azharuddin cracked a 34 off 41-balls included a six and Sachin Tendulkar hit 27 off 31-balls contained 4-fours.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Aravinda de Silva picked up 3-wickets, Dulip Liyanage, Ravindra Pushpakumara and Kumar Dharmasena each took one-wickets.

Sri Lanka scored 132-6 in 19 overs at when bad light stopped the play - with top scorer by Sanath Jayasuriya hammered a 68 off 38-balls including 6-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 178.94.

Aravinda de Silva cracked a 22 off 29-balls including a boundary and Marvan Atapattu struck 21 off 28-balls contained 3-fours.

India best bowler by Robin Singh picked up 3-wickets for 20-runs in 4-overs, Nilesh Kulkarni and Abey Kuruvilla both took one-wickets.
