Evin Lewis' 48-ball maiden century before Dwayne Bravo's magic over as West Indies pulled off a thrilling 1-run victory over India, despite a KL Rahul's record-breaking maiden T20I century - World's best finisher MS Dhoni's rapid 43 and take a 1-0 lead in a high-scoring epic game of the first T20I.

  • West Indies' 1-run win was their smallest victory by terms of runs in T20 internationals, previous narrowest victory by 7-runs against Pakistan at Gros Islet in 2011.
  • 489 : This is the highest aggregate match in T20 international cricket history
  • Evin Lewis hammered a 48-ball sixth fastest century in T20 international and the second fastest century by an West Indian batsman in T20Is after Chris Gayle's 47-ball hundred.
  • KL Rahul equalled a 46-ball joint second fastest century in T20 international, jointly 46-ball hundred held by Faf du Plessis against West Indies at Johannesburg in the last year and the fastest century by an Indian batsman in T20I cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 59-ball hundred held by Suresh Raina against South Africa at Gros Islet in the 2010 World Twenty20.
  • Johnson Charles equalled a 20-ball joint second fastest fifty for West Indian in T20 internationals, jointly with Kieron Pollard and Chris Gayle.
  • Rohit Sharma hammered a 22-ball joint fifth fastest fifty for India in T20 internationals, jointly with Shikhar Dhawan's 22-ball 50 against Sri Lanka at Ranchi in this year.
  • 110 : KL Rahul became the highest-scorer for India in T20 international cricket history, beating Rohit Sharma's 106 vs South Africa at Dharamsala in 2015.
  • West Indies 245 was their highest-score ever in T20 international cricket history and the third highest total in T20Is.
  • India's 244 was their highest-score ever in T20 international cricket history it is the fourth highest total in T20Is and record-breaking batting second highest totals in T20I matches.

  • 107 : KL Rahul and MD Dhoni set up the record fourth-wicket partnership for India in T20 international, previously held by the 97-run stand between Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni against Pakistan at Ahmedabad in 2012, It is the joint fourth highest fourth-wicket stand in T20Is, jointly 107-run stand held by between Alex Hales and Eoin Morgan against West Indies at Pallekele in the 2012 World Twenty20 and India's fourth highest any-wicket stand in T20Is.

West Indies scored mammoth total of 245-6 in 20-overs with top scorer by Evin Lewis 100 - which was his maiden T20I hundred.

Johnson Charles blasted a 79 off 33-balls including 7-sixes and 6-fours with strike rate of 239.39, Andre Russell, Keiron Pollard both scored 22 and Carlos Brathwaite 14.

India best bowler by Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah each took two wickets and one for Mohammed Shami.

India scored 244-4 in 20-overs with top scorer by KL Rahul smashed a quick-fire 110-runs off facing 51-balls - which was his maiden T20I century including 12-fours and 5-sixes with striking rate of 215.68.

Rohit Sharma blasted a 28-ball 62-runs including 4-sixes and 4-fours with strike rate of 221.42.

MS Dhoni hammered a 43 off 25-balls included 2-sixes and 2-fours with strike rate of 172, MS Dhoni - who caught out off Dwayne Bravo's last ball of the match and Virat Kohli scored 16.

West Indies best bowler by Dwayne Bravo took two wickets from his four overs and Keiron Pollard - Andre Russell picked up one wickets.

Evin Lewis named Player of the match for his power-hitting batting performance to smashed a quick-fire 100-runs knocked off facing 48-balls including 9-sixes and 5-fours with strike rate of 204.08.
