  • James Neesham became the first New Zealand batsman to hit five sixes in an over in One-day international cricket history.
  • Martin Guptill's 138 was his fourth highest score for New Zealand in One-day international and the fourth highest score by an New Zealand batsman against Sri Lanka in ODIs.
  • Martin Guptill's 138 was the highest-score by any batsman at Bay Oval in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 119 held by Hashim Amla against New Zealand in 2014.
  • 163 : Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson set up the record second-wicket partnership for New Zealand against Sri Lanka in One-day international, previously held by the 151-run stand between Nathan Astle and Ross Taylor at Napier in 2006 and New Zealand's second highest second-wicket stand in ODIs.

New Zealand scored mammoth total of 371-7 in 50-overs with top scorer by Martin Guptill 138 - which was his 14th ODI hundred and his second century against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

Kane Williamson struck 76 off 74-balls including 6-fours, Ross Taylor blasted a 54 off 37-balls included 6-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 145.95.

James Neesham hammered a unbeaten 47 off 13-balls including 6-sixes with strike rate of 361.54 and Henry Nicholls 15.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Nuwan Pradeep, Lasith Malinga and Thisara Perera each took 2-wickets.

Sri Lanka scored 326 for all-out in 49-overs with top scorer by Kusal Perera hammered a 102 off 86-balls - which was his 4th ODI hundred and his first century against New Zealand in ODIs - including 13-fours & a six with strike rate of 118.60.

Niroshan Dickwella blasted a 76 off 50-balls including 8-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 152, Danushka Gunathilaka scored 43 off 62-balls included 3-fours, Kusal Mendis 18 and Seekkuge Prasanna 16.

New Zealand best bowler by James Neesham picked up 3-wickets for 38-runs in 8-overs, Ish Sodhi, Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson each took 2-wickets and one for Matt Henry.

Martin Guptill named player of the match for his magnificent 138-runs knocked off facing 139-balls included 11-fours and 5-sixes.
