Mitchell Marsh five-wicket haul after a Aaron Finch's fabulous century helped to Australia cruising 111-run victory over England in the opening day of ICC World Cup 2015

* 342-9 : This was Australia's highest ever score made against England and their highest ODI total at the MCG.

* 135 : Aaron Finch moved on to the fifth-highest score by an Australian in World Cup's.

* Aaron Finch's hundred was the first of this World Cup; back in 1992 World Cup, Martin Crowe hit the first century of the World Cup on the opening day.

* Steven Finn finished the innings with 5-wickets and England's first ODI hat-trick in nearly five years. From the last three balls of the innings, Glenn Maxwell, Brad Haddin and Mitchhell Johnson all holed out slogging for late runs.

Australia scored massive total of 342-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Aaron Finch 135 - who was his 6th ODI hundred, Glenn Maxwell struck 66 off 40-balls including 11-fours, George Bailey scored 55 included three boundaries, Brad Haddin 31 off 14-balls with five-fours, Mitchell Marsh 23 and David Warner 22.

England best bowler by Steven Finn claimed five-wicket haul for 71-runs from 10 overs, Stuart Broad picked up two-wickets and one for Chris Woakes.

England scored 231 for all-out in 41.5 overs with top scorer by James Taylor 98 not out including 11-fours and 2-sixes, Chris Woakes scored 37 and Ian Bell 36.

Australia best bowler by Mitchell Marsh claimed five-wicket haul for 33-runs from 9-overs, Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc each took one wickets.

Aaron Finch named Player of the match for his spectacular batting display of scoring 135-runs off 128-balls including 12-fours and 3-sixes.
