India scored 236-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Gautam Gambhir 91 - who fell nine-run short of his century including six boundaries, MS Dhoni 58 not out, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma each scored 15-runs.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Thisara Perera, Lasith Malinga both took two-wickets and one for Nuwan Kulasekara.

MS Dhoni named Player of the match for his match-saving unbeaten 58-runs knocked off facing 69-balls including 3-fours and a six.
