All-round display from Ravichandran Ashwin, Virat Kohli's half-century and Sachin Tendulkar's classy 48 helped to India hard-fought four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the second match of a CB Tri-series.

Match Stats : 
  • India chased 234 was their fifth highest successful run-chase against Sri Lanka at neutral venue in One-day internationals.
  • Sachin Tendulkar went past 3000 runs against Sri Lanka in ODIs. He is the only player to pass that mark against two teams (Australia and Sri Lanka).
  • Sri Lanka's 233 was their second lowest score in the completed innings against India in Australian soil in One-day internationals.
  • 53* : Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin set up the fifth highest seventh-wicket partnership for India against Sri Lanka in One-day internationals.

Sri Lanka scored 233-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Dinesh Chandimal struck 64 off 81-balls including four boundaries.

Tillakaratne Dilshan 48 off 79-ball - who fell two-run short of his half-century - including six boundaries, Angelo Mathews scored a unbeaten 33 off 28-balls included 2-fours, Kumar Sangakkara 26 and Mahela Jayawardene 23.

India best bowler by Ravichandran Ashwin 3-32, Zaheer Khan took 2-wickets and one for Vinay Kumar - Ravindra Jadeja.

India chased 234-6 in 46.4 overs with top scorer by Virat Kohli struck 77 off 94-balls including 8-fours and a six.

Sachin Tendulkar 48 off 63-ball - who fell two-run short of his half-century - including five boundaries, Ravichandran Ashwin 30 not out, Suresh Raina 24 and Ravindra Jadeja 24 not out.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Angelo Mathews took 2-wickets, Thisara Perera, Dhammika Prasad and Lasith Malinga each took one-wickets.

Ravichandran Ashwin named player of the match for his match-winning all-round performance to scored a unbeaten 30 off 38-balls including 3-fours after picked up 3-wickets for 32-runs in 10-overs including a maiden.
