Yuvraj Singh's half-century before Ravichandran Ashwin's four-for helped to India massive 73-run victory over Australia in a one-sided game of the 28th match of a World Twenty20.

Match Stats : 
  • India's 73-run win was their second largest victory by terms of runs in T20 internationals and it is their second biggest victory in World Twenty20.
  • Australia's 73-run defeat was their third worst by margin of runs in T20Is and it is their second worst in World Twenty20.
  • Ravichandran Ashwin's 4 for 11 was the best bowling figures for India in T20 international cricket history and the joint fifth best figures in World Twenty20.
  • Australia's 86 was their second lowest-score ever in T20 internationals and it is their worst total in World Twenty20.

India scored 159-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Yuvraj Singh struck 60 off 43-balls including 5-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 139.53, MS Dhoni 24, Virat Kohli 23 and Ajinkya Rahane 19.

Australia best bowler by Brad Hodge, Glenn Maxwell, Doug Bollinger, James Muirhead, Mitchell Starc and Shane Watson each took one-wickets.

Australia scored 86 for all-out in 16.2 overs with top scorer by Glenn Maxwell blasted a 23 off 12-balls including 2-sixes with strike rate of 191.66 and David Warner 19.

India best bowler by Ravichandran Ashwin  4-11, Amit Mishra takes 2-wickets, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravindra Jadeja both takes 1-wickets and debutant Mohit Sharma - who took one-wicket on his debut T20I match.

Ravichandran Ashwin named Player of the match for his spin bowling attack to claimed career-best 4-wicket haul for 11-runs in 3.2-overs.
