England chased 212-4 in 51.4 overs with top scorer by Geoff Boycott 75 not out, Graham Gooch struck 53 off 89-balls including 6-fours & a six.

David Gower hit 47 off 50-balls including 7-fours and Debutant Jim Love - who scored 15-runs on his debut ODI match - including a boundary.

Australia best bowler by Dennis Lillee took 2-wickets and one for Trevor Chappell - Geoff Lawson.

Geoff Boycott named Player of the match for his match-winning unbeaten 75-runs knocked off facing 135-balls including three boundaries.
