Pacer Mohammed Shami's three-wicket haul and Bowlers attack before captain Rohit Sharma's classy half-century and Shubman Gill's unbeaten 40 helped to India easy eight-wicket victory over New Zealand and took an unassailable 2-0 lead to seal the series in a one-sided game of the second ODI.

  • India's 179-balls spare win was their seventh largest victory by terms of balls remaining in One-day international and It is their biggest win against New Zealand in ODIs, previous biggest win by 173-balls spare at Chennai in 2010.
  • India chased 109 was their ninth lowest successful run-chase in One-day international and It is their second lowest chase against New Zealand in ODIs after they chased 104 at Chennai in 2010.
  • Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur became the 50th Indian venue to host a One-day international match and the 215th venue in the world to host a ODI match.
  • New Zealand's 108 was their third lowest score in a completed innings against India in One-day international and It is their fourth lowest-total in Indian soil in ODIs.

New Zealand scored 108 for all-out in 34.3 overs with top scorer by Glenn Phillips struck 36 off 52-balls including 5-fours.

Mitchell Santner scored 27 off 39-balls including 3-fours and Michael Bracewell hit 22 off 30-balls included 4-fours.

India best bowler by Mohammed Shami 3-18, Washington Sundar took 2-wickets for 7-runs in 3-overs included a maiden.

Hardik Pandya took 2-wickets for 16-runs in 6-overs including three maidens, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakor and Kuldeep Yadav each took one-wickets.

India chased 111-2 in 20.1 overs with top scorer by Rohit Sharma struck 50 off 51-balls including 7-fours & 2-sixes.

Shubman Gill cracked a unbeaten 40 off 53-balls including 6-fours and Virat Kohli scored 11 off 9-balls included 2-fours.

New Zealand best bowler by Mitchell Santner and Henry Shipley both took one-wickets.

Mohammed Shami named Player of the match for his pace bowling attack to picked up 3-wickets for 18-runs in 6-overs including a maiden.
