Ryan Burl and Sikandar Raza stars as Zimbabwe pulled off a last-ball thrilling three-wicket victory over Ireland, despite a brilliant centuries from captain Andy Balbirnie - Harry Tector in a rain-hit game of the first ODI.

Match Stats : 
  • This is the fifth instance of Ireland's two batsmen were scores of centuries or more runs in their innings in One-day international and It is their first such instance against Zimbabwe in ODIs.
  • Ireland's 288 was their second highest score against Zimbabwe in ODIs after their 331 at Hobart in the 2015 World Cup
  • 212* : Andy Balbirnie and Harry Tector set up the record third-wicket partnership for Ireland in One-day international, previously held by the 179-run stand between Paul Stirling and Harry Tector against New Zealand at Dublin in the last year and It is their third highest any-wicket stand in ODIs.

Ireland scored 288-4 in 50 overs with top scorer by Andy Balbirnie retired hurt for 121 off 137-balls - which was his 8th ODI hundred & his second century against Zimbabwe in ODIs - including 13-fours & 3-sixes.

Harry Tector cracked a unbeaten 101 off 109-balls - which was his 3rd ODI hundred & his first century against Zimbabwe in ODIs - including 8-fours & a six and Paul Stirling 13.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Victor Nyauchi took 2-wickets and one for Richard Ngarava - Sikandar Raza 

Zimbabwe chased 214-7 in 37-overs - due to rain revised target of 214 from 37-overs - with top scorer by Ryan Burl blasted a 59 off 41-balls.

Sikandar Raza struck 43 off 45-balls including 4-fours & a six, Craig Ervine cracked a 38 off 43-balls included 4-fours.

Gary Ballance scored 23 off 28-balls including 2-fours and Innocent Kaia 19.

Ireland best bowler by Mark Adair, Graham Hume both took 2-wickets and one for Harry Tector - Josh Little.

Ryan Burl named Player of the match for his match-winning quick-fire 59-runs knocked off facing 41-balls including 6-fours and 2-sixes with strike rate of 143.90.
