* Zaheer Abbas alone rose to the occasion with an unbeaten 83, but the target caused England no real worries and opener Graeme Fowler guided them home with nearly 10 overs to spare by making 78 not out in 2-199.



Pakistan scored 193-8 in 60 overs with top scorer by Zaheer Abbas cracked a unbeaten 83 off 104-balls.

Mudassar Nazar scored 26 off consuming 98-balls including two boundaries and Wasim Bari 18 not out.

England best bowler by Bob Willis took 2-wickets for 24-runs in 12-overs including four maidens with economy rate of 2, Ian Botham took 2-wickets and one for Viv Marks - Paul Allott.

England chased 199-2 in 50.4 overs with top scorer by Graeme Fowler hit a unbeaten 78 off 151-balls including 5-fours.

Allan Lamb cracked a unbeaten 48 off 62-balls including 5-fours & a six and David Gower struck 48 off 72-balls - who fell two-run short of his half-century - included 6-fours.

Pakistan best bowler by Rashid Khan and Mansoor Akhtar both took one-wickets.

Zaheer Abbas named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a unbeaten 83 off 104-balls including 7-fours & a six.
