Captain Craig Ervine's brilliant century and A record-breaking 70-ball fastest hundred by Sean Williams steers to Zimbabwe registered their historic first ODI win against Nepal by 8-wickets, despite a Kushal Bhurtel's 99 in the opening match of a Cricket World Cup Qualifier.

Match Stats :
  • Nepal's 290 was their third highest score in One-day international and It is their highest total at away venue (home of opposition) in ODIs, previous highest was 274 against USA at Pearland in the last year.
  • Kushal Bhurtel became the first Nepal batsman to dismissed on 99 in One-day international cricket and overall the 33rd player in ODIs.
  • 171 : Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh set up the record first-wicket partnership for Nepal in One-day international, previously held by the 114-run stand between these same pair against Oman at Pearland in the last year and also the Nepal's highest any-wicket stand in ODI cricket history, surpassing the their previous record of 139-run stand for the second-wicket between Aasif Sheikh and Gyanendra Malla against Namibia at Kirtipur earlier in this year. 
  • Craig Ervine became the first Zimbabwe batsman to score a century against Nepal in ODI cricket history.
  • Sean Williams became the second Zimbabwe batsman to score a century against Nepal in ODIs after Craig Ervine earlier in this match.
  • Sean Williams hammered a 70-ball fastest century by an Zimbabwe batsman in ODI cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 73-ball hundred held by Regis Chakabva against Bangladesh at same venue in the last year.

Nepal scored 290-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Kushal Bhurtel struck 99 off 95-balls - who fell one-run short of his century - including 13-fours & 2-sixes.

Aasif Sheikh scored 66 off 100-balls including seven boundaries, Kushal Malla hit 41 off 42-balls included 3-sixes & 2-fours and Rohit Paudel struck 31 off 29-balld including 5-fours.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Richard Ngarava claimed a 4-wickets for 43-runs in 9-overs including a maiden, Wellington Masakadza took 2-wickets and one for Blessing Muzarabani.

Zimbabwe chased 291-2 in 44.1 overs with top scorer by Craig Ervine cracked a unbeaten 121 off 128-balls - which was his 4th ODI hundred & his first century against Nepal in ODIs.

Sean Williams hammered a unbeaten 102 off 70-balls - which was his 6th ODI hundred & his first century against Nepal in ODIs - including 13-fours & a six with strike rate of 145.71.

Wesley Madhevere scored 32 off 38-balls including two boundaries and Debutant Joylord Gumbie - who hit 25 off 29-balls on his debut ODI match - included 5-fours.

Nepal best bowler by Sompal Kami and Gulshan Jha both took one-wickets.

Craig Ervine named Player of the match for his match-winning captain innings of unbeaten 121-runs knocked off facing 128-balls including 15-fours & a six.
