Maheesh Theekshana's four-wicket haul before Openers Pathum Nissanka's brilliant century and Dimuth Karunaratne's classy 83 steers to Sri Lanka convincing eight-wicket victory over West Indies and stay the top of the Supers Six points in the 29th match of a Cricket World Cup Qualifier.

  • Sri Lanka chased 244 was their third highest successful run-chase against West Indies in One-day internationals.
  • West Indies' 243 was their ninth highest score against Sri Lanka at neutral venue in One-day internationals.
  • 63 : Keacy Carty and Kevin Sinclair set up the record ninth-wicket partnership for West Indies against Sri Lanka in One-day international, previously held by the 49-run stand between Dwayne Smith and Deighton Butler at Dambulla in 2005 and the West Indies' joint fifth highest ninth-wicket stand in ODIs, jointly 63-run stand held by between Malcolm Marshall and Joel Garner against Australia at Sydney in 1985.
  • 190 : Pathum Nissanka and Dimuth Karunaratne set up the record first-wicket partnership for Sri Lanka against West Indies in One-day international, previously held by the 128-run stand between Sanath Jayasuriya and Romesh Kaluwitharana at Sharjah in 1999 and the Sri Lanka's second highest any-wicket stand in ODIs.

West Indies scored 243 for all-out in 48.1 overs with top scorer by Keacy Carty cracked a 87 off 96-balls including 6-fours & a six.

Johnson Charles hit 39 off 38-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes, Romario Shepherd struck 26 off 21-balls included 3-fours, Kevin Sinclair scored 25 off 36-balls with 2-fours and Kyle Mayers 18.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Maheesh Theekshana 4-34, Dushan Hemantha takes 2-wickets, Dasun Shanaka, Dishan Madushanka, Matheesha Pathirana each took one-wickets and Debutant Sahan Arachchige - who took one-wicket on his debut ODI match.

Sri Lanka chased 244-2 in 44.2 overs with top scorer by Pathum Nissanka cracked a 104 off 113-balls - which was his 3rd ODI hundred & his first century against West Indies in ODIs.

Dimuth Karunaratne cracked a 83 off 92-balls including 7-fours, Kusal Mendis hit a unbeaten 34 off 43-balls included 3-fours and Sadeera Samarawickrama 17 not out.

West Indies best bowler by Kevin Sinclair and Akeal Hosein both took one-wickets.

Maheesh Theekshana named Player of the match for his brilliant bowling performance to claimed a 4-wickets for 34-runs in 10-overs.
