Sunil Gavaskar scored 28 off 41-balls, Kris Srikkanth hit 28 off 41-balls and Kapil Dev 16 not out.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Arjuna Ranatunga took 2-wickets and one for Graeme Labrooy - Rumesh Ratnayake.

Arjuna Ranatunga named Player of the match for his all-round performance to took 2-wickets for 42-runs in 10-overs with two catches after smashing a whirlwind unbeaten 41 off 30-balls including 3-sixes and 2-fours with strike rate of 136.66.
