India chased 197-6 in 46.2 overs with top scorer by Kris Srikkanth cracked a 70 off 87-balls, Mohammad Azharuddin hit a unbeaten 48 off 74-balls including 3-fours.

Navjot Sidhu scored 24 off 49-balls including 4-fours and Kapil Dev hit 22 off 25-balls included 3-fours.

New Zealand best bowler by Willie Watson took 2-wickets and one for Martin Snedden - John Bracewell.
