New Zealand scored 194-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Mark Greatbatch hit 45 off 67-balls including 3-fours.

Bert Vance scored 42 off consuming 95-balls including a boundary, Richard Hadlee hit a unbeaten 35 off 45-balls included 2-sixes & a four, John Wright 19 and Ian Smith 17.

India best bowler by Narendra Hirwani claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 43-runs in 10-overs, Arshad Ayub took 2-wickets and one for Mohammad Azharuddin - Kapil Dev.

Mohinder Amarnath named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a 102-runs knocked off facing 139-balls including 6-fours.
