Bowlers attack before Openers Desmond Haynes' half-century and A brilliant maiden ODI century by Carlisle Best sets up to West Indies convincing six-wicket victory over England and took an unassailable 2-0 lead to seal the series in the fourth ODI.

Match Stats : 
  • Carlisle Best became the fifth West Indies batsman to score a century against England in ODIs after Roy Fredericks, Viv Richards, Desmond Haynes and Richie Richardson
  • Carlisle Best became 11th West Indies batsman to score a hundred in ODIs.

England scored 188-8 in the allotted 48 overs with top scorer by Wayne Larkins hit 34 off 62-balls including 4-fours & a six.

Graham Gooch cracked a 33 off 57-balls India 5-fours, Jack Russell scored 28 off 40-balls included two boundaries, Allan Lamb 22 and Gladstone Small 18 not out.

West Indies best bowler by Courtney Walsh, Ian Bishop, Ezra Moseley each took 2-wickets and one for Carl Hooper.

West Indies chased 191-4 in 45.2 overs with top scorer by Carlisle Best cracked a 100 off 119-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred.

Desmond Haynes hit 50 off 93-balls including 10-fours, Richie Richardson 19 and Carl Hooper 16 not out.

England best bowler by Eddie Hemmings, David Capel and Angus Fraser each took one-wickets.

Carlisle Best named Player of the match for his match-winning career-best brilliant 100-runs knocked off facing 119-balls including 12-fours and a six.
