Sanjay Manjrekar's solid half-century, Sachin Tendulkar and Pravin Amre's contributions before Javagal Srinath and Manoj Prabhakar's combined 5-wickets helped to India hard-fought 30-run victory over Zimbabwe, despite a stunning all-round efforts from debutant Gary Crocker's four-for with fifty in a see-saw game of the one-off One-day international.


India bowled out for 239 in 49.4 overs with top scorer by Sanjay Manjrekar cracked a run-a-ball 70-runs, Sachin Tendulkar struck 39 off 56-balls including 7-fours.

Pravin Amre scored 36 off 55-balls including a six, Mohammad Azharuddin struck 29 off 58-balls included 3-fours.

Kiran More hit 22 off 19-balls including 2-fours and Manoj Prabhakar scored 19 off 24-balls included a boundary.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Debutant Gary Crocker - who took 4-wickets for 26-runs in 7.4-overs on his debut ODI match.

Mark Burmester, Grant Flower, John Traicos each picked up one-wickets and Debutant David Brain - who took one-wicket on his debut ODI match.

Zimbabwe bundled out for 209 in 49.1 overs with top scorer by Andy Flower cracked a 62 off 104-balls including three boundaries.

Debutant Gary Crocker - who scored 50 off 55-balls on his debut ODI match - including 2-sixes & 2-fours, Grant Flower struck 34 off 67-balls included 4-fours and Ali Shah scored 16 off 30-balls without a boundary.

India best bowler by Javagal Srinath picked up 3-wickets for 35-runs in 10-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 3.50, Manoj Prabhakar captured two-wickets, Ajay Jadeja, Kapil Dev and Anil Kumble each took one-wickets.

Sanjay Manjrekar named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a run-a-ball 70-runs including 4-fours.
