Inzamam-ul-Haq's superb unbeaten 80 and Javed Miandad's historic 50th half-century before Three-wicket hauls from Saleem Malik, Mushtaq Ahmed and Irfan Bhatti's two wickets helped to Pakistan's record 75-run victory over Zimbabwe and Pakistan clinch their historic first 3-0 series whitewash against Zimbabwe in the third & final ODI.

Match Stats : 
  • Pakistan's 75-run win was their largest victory by terms of runs against Zimbabwe in ODIs, previous biggest win by 53-runs at Hobart in the 1992 World Cup.
  • This is the third time Pakistan have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral three-match series in One-day international and registered their historic first 3-0 whitewash against Zimbabwe in ODIs.
  • This is the second time Zimbabwe have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral three-match series in One-day internationals after they have 3-0 clean-sweep against India earlier in this year.
  • Javed Miandad became the first Pakistan batsman to scored 50th fifty in One-day international cricket history and overall the second player to achieve this feat in ODIs after Desmond Haynes' 55 half-centuries. Miandad had 8 ODI centuries.

Pakistan scored 216-4 in the allotted 40 overs with top scorer by Inzamam-ul-Haq cracked a unbeaten 80 off 94-balls, Javed Miandad struck 55 off 78-balls including 3-fours.

Saeed Anwar blasted a 25 off 22-balls including 5-fours with strike rate of 113.63 and Wasim Akram hit a unbeaten 17 off 11-balls contained one-six& a four with strike rate of 154.54.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Heath Streak captured two-wickets and one for Eddo Brandes - John Rennie.

Zimbabwe scored 141-9 in 40 overs with top scorer by Alistair Campbell cracked a 26 off 50-balls including 2-fours.

Andy Flower hit 15 off 11-balls including 3-fours with strike rate of 136.36 and Wayne James scored a unbeaten 14 off consuming 42-balls without a boundary.

Pakistan best bowler by Mushtaq Ahmed picked up 3-wickets for 19-runs in 8-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 2.37, Saleem Malik captured three-wickets for 22-runs in 8-overs included a maiden with economy rate of 2.75.

Debutant Irfan Bhatti - who took 2-wickets for 22-runs in 8-overs on his debut ODI match - with economy rate of 2.75 and Basit Ali picked up one-wicket.

Inzamam-ul-Haq named Player of the match for his superb batting performance to scored a unbeaten 80 off facing 94-balls including 9-fours.
