The 1992 Cricket World Cup (known as the Benson & Hedges World Cup 1992 for sponsorship reasons) was the fifth Cricket World Cup. Organised by the International Cricket Conference (ICC), it took place in Australia and New Zealand between 22nd February to 25th March 1992.
The final was played at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne where Pakistan beat England by a 22 runs to become the fourth team to win the World Cup after West Indies (2), India (1) and Australia (1).
