Prasidh Krishna's maiden five-wicket haul, Yashaswi Jaiswal's blazing unbeaten century and Rohit Sharma's solid half-century leads to India comfortable nine-wicket victory over Afghanistan, despite Hashmatullah Shahidi's maiden century and India clinch the their historic first three-match series 3-0 whitewash against Afghanistan in a one-sided third & final ODI.

India chased 219 was their third lowest successful run-chase against Afghanistan in ODIs. This is the 11th time India have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral three-match series in One-day international and registered their historic first 3-0 whitewash against Afghanistan in ODIs. This is the fourth time Afghanistan have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral three-match series in One-day internationals. Afghanistan's 218 was their fourth lowest score India in One-day international and It is their second lowest total at Chennai in ODIs after their 139 against New Zealand in the 2023 World Cup. Prasidh Krishna became the first Indian bowler to take a five-wicket haul against Afghanistan in ODI cricket history. Prasidh Krishna's 5 for 23 was his best bowling performance for India in One-day international and the best-bowling-figures by an Indian bowler against Afghanistan in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 4 for 30 held by Ravindra Jadeja at Mirpur in the 2014 Asia Cup. Hashmatullah Shahidi became the third Afghanistan batsman to score a century against India in ODIs after Mohammad Shahzad and Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Hashmatullah Shahidi's 102 was his highest score for Afghanistan in One-day international and the joint second highest-score by an Afghanistan batsman against India in ODIs, jointly with Rahmanullah Gurbaz. 105 : Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai set up the record fifth-wicket partnership for Afghanistan against India in One-day international, previously held by the 50-run stand between Mohammad Shahzad and Gulbadin Naib at Dubai (DICS) in the 2018 Asia Cup. 170 : Yashaswi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma set up the record first-wicket partnership for India against Afghanistan in One-day international, previously held by the 156-run stand between Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan at Delhi in the 2023 World Cup and the India's second highest any-wicket stand against Afghanistan in ODIs, The highest is 224-run stand for the third-wicket between Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan at Lucknow earlier in this series' second ODI. Yashaswi Jaiswal became the fourth Indian batsman to score a hundred against Afghanistan in ODIs after Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan. Yashaswi Jaiswal's unbeaten 110 was his second highest score for India in One-day international and the fourth highest-score by an Indian batsman against Afghanistan in ODIs.

Afghanistan bowled out for 218 in 44.2 overs with top scorer by Hashmatullah Shahidi cracked a 102 off 131-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred - including 13-fours & a six.

Azmatullah Omarzai struck 50 off 56-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes and Mohammad Nabi hit 21 off 23-balls contained one-six & a four.

India best bowler by Prasidh Krishna 5-23, Prince Yadav, Harsh Dubey and Gurnoor Brar each took one-wickets.

India chase down the target of 219, finishing at 224 for 1 in 28.4 overs with top scorer by Yashaswi Jaiswal hammered a unbeaten 110 off 86-balls - which was his 2nd ODI hundred and his first century against Afghanistan in ODIs - including 14-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 127.90.

Rohit Sharma blasted a 79 off 69-balls including 9-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 114.49 and Shreyas Iyer hit a unbeaten 20 off 19-balls contained 2-sixes.

Afghanistan best bowler by Mohammad Nabi took 1-wicket for 47-runs in 7.4-overs including a maiden.

Prasidh Krishna named Player of the match for his pace bowling attack to claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 23-runs in 8.2-overs.

Shubman Gill earned player of the series for contributing 238-runs with average of 238 in the three-match series.
