Match Report:
A magnificent all-round performance by Lance Klusener inspired South Africa to a 66-run win over world one-day champions Sri Lanka in a dress rehearsal for the final of Pakistan's Golden Jubilee tournament.
It was the final league match in the quadrangular tournament and the two sides will meet again tomorrow in the final.
Klusener, batting at number three, began by top-scoring with 54 as South Africa rattled up a daunting 311 for nine in their 50 overs.
The paceman followed up with his best one-day bowling figures of six for 49 as Sri Lanka managed only 245 for nine in reply to taste defeat for the first time in the tournament.
South Africa remained unbeaten in the series which also featured West Indies as well as hosts Pakistan.
At one stage, Klusener took four wickets in 14 balls as Sri Lanka lost six batsmen in the space of 37 runs to slump to 72 for six.
Lanka de Silva and Kumara Dharmasena staged a partial recovery with both hitting their highest scores in one-day internationals as they shared a seventh-wicket partnership of 93.
De Silva's 57 off 66 balls with nine fours was his first one-day half century and Dharmasena's unbeaten 69 from 83 balls with four fours was his fourth.
But after seamer Fanie de Villiers trapped de Silva lbw there was little further resistance.
Klusener had led the South African run spree by blasting nine fours and a six off 41 balls. He put on a swift 78 in 56 balls for the second wicket with Gary Kirsten, whose 50 was his third consecutive half-century of the competition and included six fours from 65 balls.
Captain Hansie Cronje was the third South African to make a half-century with an aggressive 45-ball 50 which contained three sixes.
Off-spinner Dharmasena captured three for 46 to emerge as the most successful Sri Lankan bowler. Paceman Sanjeeva de Silva had two for 51 and Aravinda de Silva two for 61.

Sri Lanka scored 245-9 in the allotted 50 overs with top scorer by Kumar Dharmasena cracked a unbeaten 69 off 83-balls including 4-fours.
Lanka de Silva struck 57 off 66-balls including 9-fours, Marvan Atapattu hit 25 off 40-balls included 3-fours and Dulip Liyanage scored 22 off 31-balls without a boundary.
