The 1987 Cricket World Cup (officially called the Reliance Cup '87) was the third Cricket World Cup. Organised by the International Cricket Conference (ICC), it took place in India and Pakistan between 08th October to 08th November 1987.
The final was played at Eden Gardens, Calcutta where Australia beat England by a thrilling 7 runs to become the third team to win the World Cup after West Indies (2) and India (1).
