This is the 5th time England have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral three-match series in T20 international and their second 3-0 whitewash against Sri Lanka in T20Is after their 3-0 whitewash in the 2021 Sri Lanka's tour of England. This is the 7th time Sri Lanka have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral three-match series in T20Is. Ben Duckett became the first England opener to fall for a first-ball duck against Sri Lanka in T20 international Dushmantha Chameera became the fifth Sri Lankan bowler to claimed a five-wicket haul in T20 internationals. Dushmantha Chameera became the second Sri Lankan bowler to take a five-wicket haul against England in T20Is after Lasith Malinga. Dushmantha Chameera's 5 for 24 was the sixth best bowling figures for Sri Lanka in T20 international and the best-bowling-figures by an Sri Lankan bowler against England in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of 5 for 31 held by Lasith Malinga at same venue in the 2012 World Twenty20. England's 128 was their lowest score in a completed innings against Sri Lanka in T20 international, previous lowest was 136 at Bristol in 2011 and It is their lowest total at Pallekele in T20Is, previous lowest was 150 also against Sri Lanka in the 2012 T20 World Cup. England's total of 128 for 9 is the lowest that they have successfully defended in a full 20-over game in T20 internationals, eclipsing their previous lowest of 129 against Pakistan at Abu Dhabi in 2012. Jacob Bethell's 4 for 11 was the joint seventh best bowling figures for England in T20 international, jointly with Adil Rashid and the best-bowling-figures by an England bowler against Sri Lanka in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of 4 for 19 held by Joe Denly at Colombo (RPS) in 2018.

England scored 128-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Sam Curran cracked a 58 off 48-balls including 6-fours & a six.

Jos Buttler struck 25 off 21-balls including 2-fours & a six and Liam Dawson scored 14 off 20-balls contained a boundary.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Dushmantha Chameera claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 24-runs in 4-overs, Matheesha Pathirana took 2-wickets and one for Maheesh Theekshana - Dunith Wellalage.

Sri Lanka bundled out for 116 in 19.3 overs with top scorer by Kusal Mendis cracked a run-a-ball 26-runs including 4-fours.

Pathum Nissanka hammered a 23 off 12-balls including 3-sixes with strike rate of 191.66 and Janith Liyanage hit 17 off 19-balls contained 2-fours.

England best bowler by Jacob Bethell claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 11-runs in 3.3-overs with economy rate of 3.14, Will Jacks captured three-wickets for 14-runs in 4-overs with economy rate of 3.50, Luke Wood, Liam Dawson and Adil Rashid each took one-wickets.

Sam Curran named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a solid 58 off 48-balls including 6-fours & a six with strike rate of 120.83.
