Virat Kohli, Romario Shepherd, Krunal Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar stars as Royal Challengers Bengaluru remarkable win against Punjab Kings by a 6-runs, despite a Shashank Singh's fighting 30-ball 61* and RCB lift their first IPL title after 18 years in a final of a Indian Premier League.

  • Royal Challengers Bengaluru became the eighth team to win the IPL title.
  • Rajat Patidar became the fourth player to won the IPL title in their maiden season as captain after Shane Warne (RR) (inaugural 2008 IPL edition), Rohit Sharma (MI) in 2013 IPL and Hardik Pandya (GT) in 2022 IPL.
  • Krunal Pandya became the first player to win two Man-of-the-match awards in a IPL final. He had won the player-of-the match against Rising Pune Supergiants at Hyderabad in the 2017 IPL final.

* Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has finally achieved the their first IPL title, marking a historic moment for the franchise. In the 18th attempt, RCB are finally new IPL champions. Their victory came in their fourth IPL final.

* The final match saw Punjab Kings (PBKS) push Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to the limit 190-9, but ultimately fall short by six runs. PBKS's Shashank Singh smashing Josh Hazlewood for 6, 4, 6, 6 to finish sequence off the final over. but it all came in vain, because the first two balls of the over, with 29 required at the start, were two dot balls. Shashank finishes on an unbeaten 61 off 30 balls.



RCB scored 190-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Virat Kohli cracked a 43 off 35-balls including three boundaries.

Rajat Patidar blasted a 26 off 16-balls including 2-sixes & a four with strike rate of 162.50, Liam Livingstone hit 25 off 15-balls included 2-sixes with strike rate of 166.66.

Jitesh Sharma hammered a 24 off 10-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 240, Mayank Agarwal struck 24 off 18-balls included 2-fours & a six.

Romario Shepherd struck 17 off 9-balls contained one-six & a four with strike rate of 188.88 and Phil Salt blasted a 16 off 9-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike-rate of 177.77.

PBKS best bowler by Arshdeep Singh picked up 3-wickets for 40-runs in 4-overs, Kyle Jamieson captured three-wickets for 48-runs in 3-overs, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Azmatullah Omarzai and Yuzvendra Chahal each took one-wickets.

PBKS scored 184-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Shashank Singh hammered a unbeaten 61 off 30-balls including 6-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 203.33.

Josh Inglis blasted a 39 off 23-balls including 4-sixes & a four with strike rate of 169.56, Prabhsimran Singh struck 26 off 22-balls included 2-sixes.

Priyansh Arya struck 24 off 19-balls including 4-fours and one Nehal Wadhera scored 15 off 18-balls included a boundary.

RCB best bowler by Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar both captured 2-wickets, Yash Dayal, Romario Shepherd and Josh Hazlewood each took one-wickets.

Krunal Pandya named Player of the match for his excellent spin bowling performance to took 2-wickets for 17-runs in 4-overs with economy rate of 4.25.

Suryakumar Yadav earned player of the tournament for contributing 717 runs with average of 65.18.
