Majestic Virender Sehwag's record-breaking 219, Gautam Gambhir and Suresh Raina's fifties sets up to India massive 153-run victory over West Indies, despite a fighting knock from Denesh Ramdin's 96 and took an unassailable 3-1 lead to seal the series in the fourth ODI.

  • India's 153-run win was their second largest victory by terms of runs against West Indies in One-day internationals after their 160-run at Vadodara in 2007.
  • Virender Sehwag plundered 219 - the highest score in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 200 held by Sachin Tendulkar against South Africa at Gwalior in the last year.
  • Virender Sehwag hammered a 140-ball fastest double-century in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 147-balls held by Sachin Tendulkar.
  • Virender Sehwag became the second batsman to score a double-hundred in One-day international cricket history after Sachin Tendulkar.

India scored mammoth total of 418-5 in 50 overs with top scorer by Virender Sehwag 219 - which was his 1st ODI double-century.

Gautam Gambhir scored a run-a-ball 67-runs including 11-fours, Suresh Raina struck 55 off 44-balls included 6-fours with strike rate of 125, Rohit Sharma 27 and Virat Kohli 23 not out.

West Indies best bowler by Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard and Kemar Roach each took one-wickets.

West Indies scored 265 for all-out in 49.2 overs with top scorer by Denesh Ramdin struck a run-a-ball 96-runs - who fell four-run short of his century - including 11-fours

Lendl Simmons scored 36 off 35-balls including 6-fours & a six, Marlon Samuels blasted a 33 off 26-balls included 4-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 126.92.

Andre Russell hammered a 29 off 24-balls including 3-sixes & a four with strike rate of 120.83 and Sunil Narine scored a unbeaten 27 off 33-balls included 3-fours & a six.

India best bowler by Ravindra Jadeja takes 3-wickets for 34-runs in 10-overs including two maidens, Rahul Sharma picked up 3-wickets, Suresh Raina took 2-wickets and one for Ravichandran Ashwin.

Virender Sehwag named Player of the match for record-breaking whirlwind 219-runs knocked off facing 149-balls including 25-fours and 7-sixes with strike rate of 146.97.
