Athula Samarasekera struck 24 off 40-balls including 3-fours and Debutant Upul Chandana - who scored 18 off 37-balls on his debut ODI match - included a boundary.

Australia best bowler by Shane Warne picked up 3-wickets for 29-runs in 10-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 2.90, Steve Waugh, Paul Reiffel both took 2-wickets and one for Damien Fleming.

Australia chase down the target of 155, finishing at 158 for 1 in 36.5 overs with top scorer by Mark Taylor cracked a unbeaten 68 off 106-balls including 4-fours.

Mark Waugh hit a unbeaten 64 off 83-balls including 6-fours and Michael Slater scored 15 off 33-balls included a four.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Chaminda Vaas took one-wicket for 35-runs in 10-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 3.50.
